POLL: Howabout an iPhone app for Evil Inc?

Friday, August 15, 2008 - 12:01 AM

Here's another possible addition to functionality on the Evil Inc site. I was approached in San Diego by a group that would like to develop an iPhone application that would deliver the daily strip (and, possibly, blog posts) to your iPhone.

Of course, if you have an iPhone, you can use the Web browser to surf the site, but you have to zoom in, rotate, crop, etc. to read it. This application would deliver the comic preformatted in such a way that all you have to do is scroll to read it from left to right. They also talked about some expandability and additional functionality that we could include.

The application would cost around $5 to download.

Interested? Discuss.

Well, Brad I wouldn't pay for an Evil Inc app. The reason is that I have the free NetNewsGator RSS app and I've subscribed to your RSS feed in it. That automatically lets me view your comics and updates in a similar way to what you describe for free. Unless you include exclusive content for the iphone app, I don't think I would pay for it.

Judging from the poll, I'm thinking this idea is dead in the water.

Which leaves me more time to refine the henchmen T-shirt idea. :)

Hell, let's face it, we're not responsible for anything; including the things we say, do, or think. And if you sue us because you think we are? Well, we're not responsible for that either.
